Whats All the Hype Over Organic Beef?
What Are Organic Meats
Most people are familiar with the general idea of Organically Produced goods, but how does that translate when you think of meat products. To maybe complicate this issue more or hopefully make this understandable I will list a few characteristics that are not requirements for any product to be organic; yet these traits are very desirable themselves.
What they dont have to be in order to qualify as organic.
1.Eco Friendly or Green-Eco friendly is the process of producing a product or service that does not harm or deplete natural resources.
2. Sustainable production-This is the process by which the product or animal is nurtured in a way that creates a natural environment to perpetuate this action with out depleting or harming nature, but instead creates a more acceptable canvas to use.
3. Natural-Natural Products are created using methods that do not include chemical or artificial means, they however; do not qualify as organic because the environment where they are produced and the raw materials may not be of organic origin.
4. Fair Trade-Applies to the ethical treatment of people contracted to work in the production of organic or other goods, this term is commonly associated with harvested products such as coffee, tea & grains.

What is Organic Meat?
Organic Meat such as Grass Fed Steaks is raised in an environment without chemical or artificial fertilizer present in the soil, and are feed organically produced feed and grasses. These animals are never given steroids and their health is dependent on the health of their environment. Some good examples of this is free range fowl, Organic Angus Beef, Organic Exotic Meats and even free range eggs you can find in your local grocer. When you add the (not required) traits I listed above they make organic meats even that much more desirable. Enjoy Organic Meats with confidence.

As a farmer myself I couldn't see doing things any differently then the organic and natural way. Not only are you making people happy with great quality meats, but you're also treating the stock animals in a way that they can be comfortable and live healthy for the duration of their life. I must say though, it is also just a healthy way to live in general.
As someone who is involved in the business, I certainly understand the use of artificial fertilizers and chemicals, but I have to say that in the long run they just aren't worth it. Artificial chemicals like these end up destroying what the product is supposed to be, and research is being conducted which easily shows us the negative effects of these chemical processes. As someone who distributes these products, I also feel much more confident and "good" because what I am selling is natural, and I don't have to be concerned with trying to hide from the hard reality of poor product and dangerous side effects of chemicals.
Anyways, my little speech aside, you've got a lot of great information in this article, I look forward to checking out more of your articles in the future! Keep up the good work!
This was a very interesting article. I never realized that there was difference between "Going Green" and organic products. They seem to walk hand in hand (and honestly, they do frequently), but it is very interesting to understand that there is a difference, however small it may be. All in all, I am very much interested in an environmentally friendly lifestyle, and examining little things like the food I eat to larger things like how much of a carbon footprint I am leaving on the Earth are all important to consider. I have found your article to be a great resource for me in learning about organic meat and being eco-friendly, and I just wanted to let you know to keep writing! Hopefully more people will take notice of your articles in the future as well!

Organic is just the best way to go in my opinion. There's no worrying about what enhancers might have been fed to the animals or put into the meat after they were prepared. The thought of eating meat that has been raised in an environment with chemicals and artificial fertilizers is just a stomach turning thought. It's good to know exactly what organic meat is qualified as, for those who take those titles very seriously. A very good friend of mine is very strict with her diet and will only eat organic foods, especially organic meat. It's very understandable as to why, it is so much healthier. The video you posted is great too, I like that it shows the environments of the animals, its more settling rather than just taking someone's word for it.
